Newton Stewart Angling Association held their annual charity competition at Loch Ochiltree

On 27th August Newton Stewart Angling Association held their annual charity competition at Loch Ochiltree in aid of the Riverside Centre and the Dumfries and Galloway Blood Bikes.

The competition was a great success raising approx. £1000 for each charity.

Fishing was tough for the 38 anglers but 39 fish were caught including four tagged.

First was Andy Johnstone with 5, second was John Anderson Jr. with 4, third equal were Brian McAllister and Terry Burns with 2 and fifth equal were Donny Love and Tom Loch.

Big thanks to everyone who sponsored fish, donated to the raffle and the causes. Thanks also to Mike Kernan of the Scottish Sun for coming and donating prizes. We welcomed Kelly Henry and Jackie Rae of the Blood Bike charity to the prizegiving.
