THREAVE Rovers took the Cree Lodge Cup Final on Saturday as they cruised to victory over St Cuthbert Wanderers in the final of the competition.
Sam Warren put the Castle Douglas side ahead after only 13 minutes from the penalty spot but in the 23rd minute Saints’ John Kiltie squared the match from a 30-yard free kick.
An Andy Donely header six minutes later restored Threave’s lead before Sam Warren added number three at the start of the second half.
With 15 minutes left to play, Jamie Struthers sent a 25-yarder into the net and with the final whistle looming Donely scored his second and his side’s fifth as Threave laid claim to the silverware.
Saints ended the match with only 10 men after Johnny Nichol was red carded.
