The Stranraer Academy curling team of Bobby Lammie, Neil Topping, Euan Kyle and Stewart Kyle went down 4-1 to Kelso High School in the final of the Scottish Schools Championships at Murrayfield Ice Rink last Sunday afternoon.

The team had been going well having only dropped one point in their section before thumping Dumfries Academy 7-1 in the semi-final.

The two other Stranraer Academy teams at the final were Fraser Shaw, Christopher Henry, Campbell Dooley and William McQuillan who won two games out of five and the girls’ team of Katie Wright, Alison Fyfe, Lauren Morgan and Carolyn Fisher who won one game and peeled one out of five.
