Stena Line has renewed its long-standing sponsorship deal with Stranraer Football Club.

This is the 26th season the ferry company has given its support to the club – an association that is thought to be one of the longest unbroken sponsorships in British Football history.

Gordon Irons, Stena Line’s Onboard Services Manager, said: “We are proud to be renewing our association with Stranraer FC. We have supported the club now for twenty-six years through the good times and the not-so-good times. We’re very excited about the prospects for the up-coming season and would like to take this opportunity to wish the club all the best - especially for their much-anticipated match against Glasgow Rangers on the 17 August.”

Davie McMillan, Committee Member, Stranraer FC said: “We are thrilled to be continuing our wonderful relationship with Stena Line and would like to thank them for their record 26th year with Stranraer FC.

“The players, management and fans are all looking forward to a busy and, hopefully, winning season with some tough matches coming our way - none more so than the game with Rangers this month. The players’ commitment and dedication will ensure no one will get an easy win, home or away, and the unyielding support of the Stranraer FC fans continues to inspire us all.”
