THE draw for the second round of the William Hill Scottish Cup took place on Monday and last season’s South League champions Dalbeattie Star were handed a home tie against Stirling Albion.
St Cuthbert Wanderers, who beat Edinburgh University in the first round, will again travel north to play Third Division leaders Elgin City, having already had a long trip to beat Keith in the preliminary round. Having drawn 2-2 with Huntly, Wigtown and Bladnoch will replay on Saturday with the winners being drawn to play Highland League side Inverurie.
With all clubs hoping to be drawn against Rangers, Highland League champions Forres Mechanics were the lucky side who will play a home tie against the Glasgow giants.
All matches will be played on Saturday, September 29.
