Dalbeattie Star continued their fantastic season on Monday when they overcame St Cuthbert Wanderers 4-2 at Kirkcudbright in the Tweedie Cup semi-final.
Curtis Wilson opened the scoring for Dalbeattie against their Stewartry rivals, with Hugh Cameron adding a second shortly after.
A Scott Milligan shot gave Star a three-goal lead before Ian Millar netted from the penalty spot to pull a goal back. However, Lee Wells restored Star’s advantage before the break.
John Lowe scored for Saints 10 minutes after the restart but there were no more goals and Star go through to play their other Stewartry rivals, Threave Rovers, in the final.
