South of Scotland League

Fleet Star v Threave Rovers

Crichton v Creetown

Newton Stewart v Abbey Vale

Nithsdale Wanderers v Stranraer

Wigtown and Bladnoch v Heston Rovers

This Saturday Dalbeattie Star go in pursuit of their second peice of silverware in as many weeks when the have St Cuthbert Wanderers as their visitors to Islecroft for the final of this season’s League Cup.

Home advantage could be the deciding factor in this contest but if Saints strike their best form on the day then they could go home with the prize.

Threave Rovers travel to Gatehouse to play Fleet Star as they attempt to keep the pressure on their challengers at the top of the table and it would be a surprise result if they failed to take the three points from this contest. They will start as strong favourites to take the three points to keep the pressure on their title challengers at the top of the table.

Creetown travel to play Crichton at Hospital Park for what could be a close run match although the home side ar the more liklier to take the three points from this encounter. Newton Stewart have Abbey Vale as their visitors to Blairmount and with matches between those two usually going close a share of the the points could be a distinct possibility.Stranraer go to Sanqhuar to play Nithsdale Wanderers and a victory for the Stair Park side looks likely while Heston Rovers will be keen to keep up their high league position when they visit Trammondford Park to play Wigtown and Bladnoch but may find a revitalised home side too much too handle although this is another game that could see the teams sharing the points in a fairly high scoring drawn match.
