Slam dunk for Whithorn

Whithorn Primary hosted the annual Machars Primaries Basketball Tournament with Whithorn, Minnigaff, Creetown, Penninghame, St. Ninian’s, Garlieston and Port William all competing.

David Evans, West of Scotland Development Officer for Basketball, refereed the event.

In the morning session three prizes were presented: Brogan from Minnigaff won ‘Best Shot’, Sean from Creetown won ‘Most Valuable Player’ and Corey from Creetown won ‘Most Stylish Player’.

The afternoon session prizes were: Aston from Garlieston won ‘Best Shot’, Holly from Whithorn won ‘Most Valuable Player’ and Gordon from Port William won ‘Most Stylish Player’. The winning team for the tournament was Creetown. Congratulations to them on their well-deserved win.
