Wigtownshire have selected their latest pool of players to represent their county for the 2015/16 season.

This is selector Ian Lightbody’s last selection as he makes way for the younger generation in Rhurhi Paton, to assist Tommy Mann in selecting players for the county.

Ian has been selecting players from the county since 1994 and has been involved in primary schools football since 1991 which equates to a quarter of a century. To mark Ian’s retirement there will be a reunion of ex-Wigtownshire players to be held at the Stranraer Academy on the 26th July starting at 12noon. The event will be mixed 7-a-side teams.

Any ex-Wigtownshire primary schools player from 1992 to present day who wants to be involved just contact Ian on 07526726332 or 01776705220 or email gite1@hotmail.co.uk. The event will be for Ian’s chosen charity ‘Tommy’s’ which researches the cause of and prevention of early miscarriages.
