St Cuthbert Wanderers should add to their goals tally from their league match this Saturday against bottom placed Dumfries YMCA.
The other two matches look fairly evenly balanced. Creetown may well have to share the points and the spoils in their home match against a determined Mid Annandale side snd at Moffat the same fate could await upper Annandale as they host Heston Rovers.
Wigtown and Bladnoch play Crichton in the first round of the Potts cup with the home side the more likely side to progress although the outcome could well be close.
Edusport Academy fly the flag for south football when they play Edinburgh city in the semi final stages of the south regional challenge cup at Galabank and will have to be at their very best to make the final.
Creetown kept up their winning ways last Friday night to climb up the league table when they recorded a good 1-0 victory over Abbey Vale in Dumfries while on Saturday in the only game to escape the weather Edusport Academy were beaten 2-0 by Mid Annandale.
Edus defeat almost certainly hands this seasons championship to St Cuthbert Wanderers who lead the pack with games in hand.
The match was tight but goalless until the 82nd minute with Mids keeper Peter Crolla playing exceptionally well and saving everything that was thrown at him.
With time running out a long ball from the keeper found Andy white who ran on to score a very good goal to give the visitors the lead. Lucas of Edu received a red card and Jackson of Mids was also dismissed leaving both teams to play out the match with ten men. Two minutes into time added on prolific scorer Nathan Muir found space to fire home to secure a very good three points for the Lockerbie side.
