Professional coaches from Rangers FC will be at Blairmount Park, Newton Stewart on Monday and Tuesday next week as part of the club’s ‘Soccer School Roadshow’ programme.
Old Firm backroom staff will be at Newton Stewart’s 3G pitch for the two-day event jointly hosted by Galloway Thistle Youth Football Club and Newton Stewart FC.
They expect around 50 kids between the ages of eight and 15 to take part.
David Stewart, who runs the Rangers Roadshow programme said: “The objectives of the roadshows are to take the club in areas where we don’t have a regular presence to encourage children all over the country to become part of the club, although we welcome children that are supporters of any club.
“We hope to make this an annual event in Newton Stewart.
The roadshow will be at Blairmount Park on Monday, April 14 and Tuesday, April 15 between 10am and 4pm.
