Galloway Branch of the Pony Club held their annual team show jumping event on Sunday 27th April at Calgow Equestrian near Newton Stewart. The weather was very spring -like for the 11 teams turned out in fancy dress for the occassion. This made for an interesting and fun morning! Well done everyone, you looked great.
With four members in each team, one member jumped a course over heights; X poles or 55cm, 70cm, 80cm and 90cm. Only Last Minute and Beach Babes had faults so nine of the teams had to select a member to go into a jump-off at 95cm. The final winners were the 999 Team with Jade Stewart, Becky Dalrymple Heather Vance and Charlotte McDowall.
The judges for the morning were DC Wendy Miller-Smith and Pam MacDonald with many assistants to help things run smoothly. Refreshments and sunshine kept the spectators happy and an enjoyable morning was had by all.
The final results were:
1st 999; 2nd Peppa’s Piglets; 3rd Cream Eggs; 4th Calgow Equestrian; 5th Super Women; 6th Dinosaurs; 7th Mollie’s Farm; 8th The Undecided; 9th Cops & Robbers; 10th= Last Minute and Beach Babes.
