And taking the heavy fish prize was Paul McKie with a stunning bull huss weighing in at 11lb 06oz.

Meanwhile, Newton Stewart angler Dennis Marsh had a red letter day recently when he headed off to the Garlieston rock marks looking for a smoothhound or two. Using crab baits, Dennis landed a heart-thumping fish weighing in at 13lb 04oz.
