Stranraer is next stop on SFL bus tour

FANS of The Blues will get a chance to test their goal scoring skills against a specially-adapted speed camera this weekend, when a season-long bus tour makes a stop in Stranraer.

The tour, organised by Scottish Football League sponsors, and makers of Scotland's "other national drink" – Irn Bru – will pay a visit to Stranraer's Stair Park Stadium this Saturday.

The bus will be at the stadium from 2pm onwards as The Blues prepare to take on Albion Rovers in a third division league match.

Apart from the on-the-field action, the bus tour will bring the added excitement of two "inflatable" games, including the recently launched "Back of the Net".

Fans of the The Blues and The Wee Rovers will get a chance to test their goal scoring skills against the speed camera in the scoring chamber.

They can then check out how their results compare to others as every entrant will be documented on the Phenomenal Footy website.

There will also be merchandise giveaways and the "Matchbox" on board, which invites fans to record their post-match reactions on camera, which are then uploaded to the "phenomenalfooty" website.

Fans will also have the chance to collect a free soft drink on the way home from the match.

The tourbus is set to visit every SFL ground during the course of the season to ensure that every fan has the opportunity to get involved in the action.

Martin Steele from Irn Bru said: "Everyone at Irn Bru has been getting excited about the SFL bus tour and we have been enjoying the opportunity to interact with the fans at matches.

"The bus has proved to be very popular with supporters so far and we are really looking forward to our trip to Stranraer this weekend."

David Longmuir, chief executive of the SFL, added; "We are delighted that our sponsors are embarking on a season-long bus tour.

"It adds an extra element to the experience of attending a SFL match and it has been well received at the grounds.

"We are looking forward to seeing the bus at every ground this season and hope the fans at Stair Park Stadium will enjoy themselves on Saturday!"
