Barstobrick showjumping event proves huge success

GALLOWAY, Stewartry and Nithsdale pony clubs held open showjumping at Barstobrick.

The competition was aimed at junior members, novice riders or novice ponies/horses. The event was very well attended. It started with the lead rein and went up to 65cm, culminating in the popular Chase-me-Charlie.

RESULTS

Class 1 Lead Rein - 1, Lindsey Mundell and Surprise; 2, Izzy Millar-Smith and Mist at twilight; 3, Poppy Drysdale and Guinness; Zoe Burgoyne and Milo; 5, Beth Dixon and Baily. Class 2 Wibbly Bobbly - 1,Brittany Watson and Rosie; 2, Amelia Truman and Parsley; 3, Abby Glover and Baily; 4, Izzy Millar-Smith and Mist at twilight; 5, Bronnen Pierce and Mopsy; 6, Jonathan Hall and Cracker.

Class 3 Not so wobbly - 1, Amelia Truman and Parsley; 2, Alex Radley and Sophie; 3, Bronnen Pierce and Mopsy; 4, Carolyne Fisher and Donut; 5, Jodie Caig and Tommy; 6, Lucy Bell and Wee Max.

Class 4 Mixed relay - 1, Olivia Memory and Baily/ Amy Marchbank and Lewis; 2 Katie Walkinshaw and Meelo/ Sam Barrick and Robbie; 3, Amy Hall and Maeve/ Mollie Miller-Smith and Jock; 4, Robert Dodd and Sunny/ Gemma Craig and Katie; 5, Calolyne Fisher and Donut/ Brittany Watson and Rosie; 6, Alex Radley and Sophie/ Hanna Grant and Teddy.

Class 5 Expert Wobbly - 1, Abby Forsyth and Millie; 2, Jason Forsyth and Henry; 3, Jack Bell and Archie; 4, Amy Hall and Maeve; 5, Katie Walkinshaw and Meelo; 6, Amy Marchbank and Baily.

Class 6 65cm - 1, Abby Forsyth and Millie; 2, Jason Forsyth and Henry; 3, Amy Marchbank and Lewis; 4, Andrew Waugh and Toffee; 5, Amy Hall and Maeve; 6, Jack Bell and Archie.

Class 7 Chase-Me-Charlie - 1=, Gemma Craig and Lucky / Abby Forsyth and Millie (jumping 1); 3=, Jason Forsyth and Henry / Amy Hall and Maeve; 5, Katie MunBrittany Watson on Rosie and Carolyn Fisher on Donut dell and Brandy; 6, Mollie Millar-Smith and Jack.
