Neil Fyfe from Leswalt Curling Club is off to the World Senior Curling Championships in Sochi, Russia in April after his team won the Irish mens senior playdowns at Dumfries Ice Bowl at the weekend.

And in winning, the 52-year old police sergeant, who lives in Portpatrick, beat another two Stranraer Irish curlers, Peter JD Wilson and Peter Wilson, to the title.
