The Sally Huntley Open Greensome Competition was played on Saturday, September 28, in glorious weather at Dunskey Golf Club.
The condition of the course was magnificent and all credit must go to Alan McWilliam and his staff. There wer 26 teams in the competition.
The winners received their prizes from Sally Huntley, who donated the trophy and gifts for the winning pair.
The ladies section ran a sales table for the first time at this event.
Lady members donated a wide selection of homemade produce and crafts. A total of £241.77 was raised for Marie Curie Cancer Care.
Lady captain Kath Donnelly thanked all the ladies who donated items for the sale and to everyone who made purchases.

On Saturday, September 28, at Kirkcudbright Golf Club, the annual Loch Arthur golf competition was held.
Tournament organiser Donald Shamash expressed his appreciation to Kirkcudbright Golf Club for the help from the club captain Bill Roff and members.
The greenstaff in particular were praised for their excellent preparation of the course.
Pamela Watson, the club junior convener, assisted with the presentation of prizes.
In first place were D Nicholls of Lochwinnoch Golf Club and I MacConchie of Kirkcudbright Golf Club, with a score of 46 Stableford points.
Mr Nicholls also praised the excellent condition of the course and the work and support of the new facilities now open to the public, at the Loch Arthur Community. He also commented that the party from Lochwinnoch would return to defend the trophy next year.
The competition raised £742 for Loch Arthur.
