Hundreds go Roon the Watter

This was the 30th Roon the Watter run with 225 athletes taking part on a fine sunny evening.

The two-mile course saw 108 juniors run the two-mile course and 117 seniors run the six-mile course around the scenic Fleet Valley.

Gerard Macnamara is retiring after organising 30 years of Roon teh Watter. he was presented with three cut glasses and an angraved medal by gala chairperson David McNicol to mark the occasion.

To cap a special night Mac, his son John was second in the race, his daughter Gayle won first lady and daughter in law Jayne won her group also.
