Hard fought win for Wigtown

There was a hard fought match between Wigtown and Creetown on Wednesday nightwith few chances, writes Jamie Russell.

One did fall to Rab Joe Paisley on 42 minutes and he made no mistake from 14 yards to give Wigtown a 1-0 lead at half time. The second half saw the game open up and the home side started brighter until Creetown took over, enjoying a really good period but failed to trouble the scoreboard.

A high ball 16 minutes from time saw Ian Miller barged over in the box. He picked himself up to put away the resulting penalty with Creetown reduced to 10 men.

Blair Dougan took advantage of the extra space to calmly slot home 5 minutes from the end to complete the scoring and seal the points.
