Newton Stewart Golf Club has turned a corner in securing its future.

After a successful 2014 it was reported at the recent AGM 25th February thatfunds could now be allocated for new machinery, which would improve and progress of the course allowing all standards of golfers to enjoy the overall experience.

The Clubhouse has had an interior makeover and is more welcoming and available for private hire.

Newton Stewart Golf Club now has a Development Programme for young people and with the assistance of Clubgolf Scotland can provide coaching in organised sessions every Friday starting from the 17th April.

After a successful primary school winter programme with Active Schools Coordinator Stevie Beggs and PGA professional Chris Robinson, Jordon Whiteside and his volunteer members are looking forward to welcoming new and returning young members on Friday evenings.

They can offer improved practice facilities thanks to funding from Awards For All.

Coming events include a Rebecca’s Open Evening on March 21 with members and sponsors invited. Tickets are also available for a Cabaret and Buffet Evening on April 3.
