Creetown 1 Wigtown and Bladnoch 9

In Monday’s South of Scotland League game, an emphatic nine goals to one victory for league leaders Wigtown and Bladnoch over bottom placed Creetown has almost ensured the Trammondford Park side the title with two games left to play.

There final league matches are against second and third placed St Cuthbert Wanderer and Newton Stewart but their goal difference is so huge that they cannot really be overtaken even if they had to lose although even a point against Saints on Saturday would be enough to clinch the championship on points difference. The goal difference was significant even before Monday nights trouncing of Creetown but three goals from Dean Agnew, two each for Ian Millar and Robert Jamieson and singles for Adam Dougan and Robert John Paisley made it even more so.
