Mid-Annandale secretary George Trudt has announced that player/manager Ally Sloan will step down as team manager at the end of this season.
Sloan is resigning his position due to his work commitments.
However, Sloan will still be involved with the Lockerbie club as he will be avaliable as a player to whoever takes over from him in running the team.
Mr Trudt was full of praise for Sloan, who has given five years of dedicated professionalism and commitment during his time in charge.
Assistant manager Stewart Murray, who has also been a long-term committed servant, will be departing too, again due to work commitents.
Mr Trudt said: “They will both be greatly missed and we wish them well for the future. The manager’s post is being advertised and we hope to have the new person in position before the end of the season.”
The secretary also confirmed that the club will remain playing at Galabank next season and perhaps beyond unless some work can take place to restore King Edward Park as a football pitch.
