This Saturday Lochar Thistle play Wigtown and Bladnoch in the South Regional Challenge Cup first round tie that was postponed from last weekend.
This should be a good contest with the Trammondford Park side favourites to progress.
The other four matches are all in the South of Scotland League and all look fairly evenly matched.
Mid-Annandale will be keen to take the three points from their home fixture against Abbey Vale but this contest looks like it could go close and a share of the points could be a distinct possibility.
Newton Stewart host Crichton at Blairmount Park and this match comes into the same category as the one at Galabank where the points and the plaudits could go either way.
The home side have had a slump in form since their Scottish Cup matches and will looking to get back on track in their league campaign in this one. Crichton, on the other hand, will still have league title ambitions of their own and again a share of the the points from this match is a possibility.
Fleet Star will have built up their confidence following their victory against Newton Stewart last time out but may find Nithsdale Wanderers a bit too experienced for them on this occasion. However, the Gatehouse side have shown that they are more than capable of springing a surprise.
The match of the day, though, looks like it could be at St Mary’s Park, Kirkcudbright, where St Cuthbert Wanderers play host to Heston Rovers.
Saints have found a good run of form recently and with home advantage will start as favourites to take the three points to keep their title ambitions on track.
Heston though play some very good football and know the way to goal so again a close match is anticipated, although the home side may well just shade it to take the three points.
