PORT William Primary pupil, Rachel Campion received the Merrick Mavericks’ B Squad dedication cup this week at the Merrick Mavericks’ Club Championship awards ceremony. Rachel, who is about to begin P7, has been a ‘Water Baby’ all her life, following in the webbed footsteps of her four older sisters and her brother Jonathon.

Rachel’s eldest sister, Anna, a former Club Captain, was invited to present the Merrick Mavericks’ awards and was introduced by Club chairperson, Andrea Williams, as a superb role model for the Club. Also in receipt of medals and awards were Rachel’s three other sisters, Ruth, Rebecca and Lois. Rachel’s dedication has secured her a place in the Merrick Mavericks A Squad.
