LOCAL Poker Player Scott ‘Bruno’ Brown is celebrating after a recent hand in poker saw him flop the best possible hand – a Royal Flush in Hearts - Ten, Jack, Queen, King and Ace of the same suit.

Scott flopped the 649,501 to 1 odds hand when playing at his local venue the Galloway Arms Hotel, Newton Stewart. Scott, who was at the final table of eight players at the time raised, with his suited Ace Queen of Hearts, only to be paid off with the King, Ten and Jack of hearts coming on the flop – the first street of community cards dealt in the middle of the table during a hand of the most popular form of poker, Texas Hold’Em.

Scott is now looking forward to the forthcoming Regional Final at Gala Merchant City Casino, Glasgow on Saturday 16th April, that will feature an impressive £3,500 estimated prizepool, which gives pub poker players across Dumfries and Galloway the biggest pub poker prizepool in Britain, where he and other players from the local area are vying for a cash prize and qualification to the Scottish National Final which features a £7,000 prizepool! For more information check out www.thenutspokerleague.com
