Wigtownshire Bowling Association

The WBA played the Stewartry Association in the County Championships at Stranraer Bowling Green on Saturday.

After five ends played the WBA players were down 42-20, but at the halfway stage they were 59-54 down and started to gain control of the match.

After 15 ends played the WBA players were were in front by 88 to 77 and after 18 ends it was 104 o 94 up and they finished the match after 21 ends winning 125 to 105.

The WBA team travel to Anchor Bowling Green to play Renfrewshire South on Saturday, May 31.

The bus will leave Wigtown at 10am, Glenluce at 10.30am and Stranraer Bowling Green at 10.50am.

The Parity Cup started on Thursday May 22 with good wins for Kirkcowan, Whithorn and Garlieston.
