THE fifth race of this year's Formula One season came and went without incident for local driver David Coulthard on Sunday, who managed to cruise home in 9th position.

Given his dismal start to the season, Coulthard was content with making it back in one piece at the Istanbul circuit, despite missing out on the points by one place and trailing in 75 seconds behind Ferrari winner Felippe Massa.
Having started in 10th position on the grid, Coulthard was reportedly frustrated at only managing a one-place jump throughout the 58-lap race.
David said afterwards: "I just missed out on points today, which is frustrating, but I've looked around my car and there's no damage, so at least we finished a race without colliding with anyone!
"I raced as hard as I could. I dropped half a second just before my second pit stop and came out just behind Nico (Rosberg), which was probably the deciding factor.
"I think the strategy guys did a good job today, I just wasn't able to eek the last little bit of pace out of the car. I had a little bit of understeer and difficult drivability getting the throttle open, which cost a tenth of a second per lap."
Team-mate Mark Webber took home two points for the team but finished in just 7th place, having started in 6th.
Brit Lewis Hamilton gave a good fight in his fast-paced McLaren Mercedes to pick up the second-place trophy ahead of Kimi Raikkonen's Ferrari, proving that the team's hard work is paying off.
Red Bull now sit fifth in the Constructor's Championship and are heading to Monaco's race, DC's home when he's not visiting Twynholm, on May 25th with a hopeful outlook.
