Woman denies sexual act

A PORT William woman accused of committing a sexual act in the window of her home will stand trial in October.

Harryetta Thompson, 23, of Manx View, denied the charge but admitted an offence which took place the following day, on August 7, when she behaved in a threatening manner by holding her mobile phone camera towards her neighbours and making a one-fingered gesture towards them. She was sentenced to 40 days in prison, backdated to August 7.

The court heard how Miss Thompson struggled with being in custody and her lawyer sought her release on bail pending trial for the alleged first offence.
