On Saturday 21st June, Penninghame St John’s Guild hosted a ‘Wimbledon’ themed lunch in the church hall.
The opening serve was a volley of salads, followed by a grand slam of desserts, after which a mixed doubles of tea and coffee was served. The event was extremely well attended at the centre court and at one stage, it was standing room only! After a lovely lunch, thoroughly enjoyed by all, £350 was raised which will go to Guild projects for the year. These projects are: Comfort Rwanda, Heart for Art, Mary’s Meals, Julius Project, Out of Africa into Malta and Passage from India. Thanks to everyone who attended and made this event such a success.
