Tickets for this year’s Wigtown Book Festival are flying out of the box office, and organisers are warning those hoping to attend to ensure they book sooner rather than later.
Already Joanna Lumley, Jeremy Bowen, one performance of Miss Julie at The Swallow Theatre and Silvana McLean’s workshop are sold out, and tickets are now limited for Fred MacAulay, Peter Snow, A Bookshop Dinner, Jack Hunter and Brian Taylor’s Big Debate - to name a few.
Festival manager Anne Barclay said: “Tickets are selling incredibly quickly this year, with sales significantly increased on the same time last year. We would definitely encourage people to pop along to or telephone (01988 403222) the box office and order their tickets to avoid disappointment - we’re open 9am-5pm Monday to Friday, 10am - 4pm Saturday and 2pm-4pm Sunday. Online booking is available at www.wigtownbookfestival.com.”
The festival runs from September 27 to October 6.
