A damaged engine means Dusty’s career as a champion racer may be over as quickly as it began -until he joins Blade Ranger and his Fire and Rescue team, The Smokejumpers.

15 August: Jersey Boys (15) – Ryan Centre, Stranraer, 8pm.

The story of four young men from the wrong side of the tracks in New Jersey who came together to form the iconic 1960s rock group The Four Seasons.

Drink Read & Relax @ Monthly book sale. Hundreds of titles all £1 or under.

16th August: Monreith Fun Day – play park, 12pm-3pm.

Games, inflatable slide, cream teas, barbecue, cake stall, raffle etc.

16 August: Kirkcudbright Parade Day.

Entertainment starts at 11am on the Moat Brae and Fisherman’s Green with children’s rides and slides, Rotary beer tent and barbecue ,side stalls and much more. Float parade through town.

20 August: Diana Gabaldon talk and book signing – Wigtown County Buildings, 7pm.

A talk and book signing with Diana Gabaldon, American author of the hugely-popular Outlander Series which is currently being recreated for the big screen in a multi-million pound Hollywood film.
