Why We Love Big Trees (Meet the Giants) - Logan Botanic Gardens, Port Logan, 1pm-4pm.

Explore the unique collection of specimen trees, learn from leading scientists and discover some of the measures that scientists can put in place to protect this amazing tree species for future generations. Cost £5.50, no booking required.

Mickey Mouse Clubhouse Tribute - the Ryan Centre, Stranraer, 3pm.

The Mickey Mouse Clubhouse Tribute brings audiences into the colourful worlds of Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Donald Duck, Daisy Duck, Goofy, Iggle Piggle, Upsy Daisy, Dora the Explorer, Boots the Monkey and Peppa Pig. Tickets £10. Lasts an hour and 20 minutes.

Kenny Archer live - The Cinema, Newton Stewart, 7pm. Yodellin Kenny comes to the cinema with his own show. Also in the show is the truckers and farmers friend “Boxcar Brian”.

Three youngsters have organised a charity event to raise cash for an aid trip to Kenya in October. Kristin McGaw, Meagh Wright and Chloe McCulloch hope to rake in the pounds to help them on their way. Organised with Ann and Rab Rob Ross, and with assistance from laura Kiltie.

Thanks go to local businesses for kind donations towards raffle prizes.
