West Freugh range launches new information service

A new information service will help people living near MOD West Freugh to stay better informed about site activity and contact the range more easily.

The service is being launched by QinetiQ, which manages the range on behalf of the Ministry of Defence.

In addition to the fortnightly Range programme, local residents can register for the new, free Advance Alert Service. Once registered, subscribers to the service will receive regular emails advising them of upcoming activity that may be noticeable in the area.

Those who would like to sign up can do so by sending an email to modwestfreughenq@qinetiq.com

A new free-phone Careline is now available on 0800 0150178 to receive questions from members of the local community. This service operates between 8am to 4.30pm Monday to Thursday and 8am to 4pm on Friday. An answer phone service is available out of hours.
