The Met Office has issued a weather warning for southern Scotland ahead of Atlantic storms nearing the UK towards the end of the week.
Gusts of up to 70mph could hit southern Scotland on Saturday, passing to the north of Scotland throughout the day.
Two Atlantic storms passing by are set to leave a trail of blustery conditions in their wake.
The Met Office said: “This is expected to bring very strong westerly winds to many northern and central parts of the UK on Saturday. Gusts of 60-70 mph are likely quite widely. The winds should gradually ease from the west later in the day.”
