Scottish Water are progressing a £1.6million project to upgrade the waste water management in the Cree Estuary area and remove four properties from the flooding register.
Work is due to start in October and a public information evening at Creetown Youth Hall on 18 September between 4pm and 7pm will give all residents an opportunity to view the plans, meet the project team and to raise any questions or concerns they may have.
Bill Elliot, Regional Community Manager, Scottish Water said: “Scottish Water is committed to enabling the development of Dumfries and Galloway and we’re investing heavily across the region to secure the future of water and waste water services for homes and businesses. The work being carried out in Creetown demonstrates our commitment to this area.”
