Two year old hurt in A711 accident

Police are appealing for witnesses to a two vehicle accident on the A711 at the junction leading to Corra Farm, Kirkgunzeon, at around 9.10am on Thursday 27 October.

The vehicles involved were a white coloured BMW car driven by a 21 year-old man from Dumfries, and a red Mazda 3 car driven by a 47 year old woman from Castle Douglas. The driver of the Mazda and her two year-old female passenger were taken to hospital with what are described as ‘seat belt injuries’. Constable Ian Nish said: “We believe there were other cars at the scene when this crash happened and I would ask that the drivers come forward with any information they might have. Callers can contact us on 101.”
