To be or not to be? Definitely to be at Threave!

For Shakespeare fans, there is only one place ‘to be’ on Friday 17 July – at a performance of Hamlet at Threave Garden near Castle Douglas.

Folksy Theatre is performing this firm favourite which tells the tragic story of the Prince of Denmark. The beautiful gardens at Threave will provide the backdrop to this atmospheric and haunting tale that is one of Shakespeare’s most-popular plays.

Property Manager Richard Polley said: “We look forward to hosting Hamlet in the spectacular setting of Threave Garden and seeing the dramatic events of the court of Denmark play out against the beautiful backdrop of the garden and Threave House.”

Advance tickets cost £12 for adults and £8 for children and can be booked online at: http://www.brownpapertickets.com/event/1409841. Tickets will be available on the night at £15 for adults and £10 for children and concessions.

This is an outdoor event, so please bring your picnic rugs or chairs to sit on, and dress for the weather with sensible footwear. Depending on the weather, ice cream and refreshments will be on sale.
