The Three Lochs Holiday Park, near Kirkcowan, has been put on the market for offers over £1.25million.
CVA Hotels and Leisure, formerly Humberts Leisure, has been instructed by the Cumbrian based Holker Group to dispose of its attractive forest retreat style.
Set in rolling countryside within the Galloway Forest Park, the site has 167 established pitches with planning consent for a further 50. Leisure facilities at the park include a swimming pool, a nine hole pitch and putt course, shooting ranges and fresh water lochs teaming with coarse and game fishing.
Prospective buyers are informed that, since it was established in 1974, the park has become a top quality and profitable holiday business. The Holker Group has a wide range of commercial interests, but after many decades of developing and benefitting from this established park, they now wish to concentrate on other activities, and feel that the next stages of the Three Lochs development would be better undertaken by specialists.
Offers over £1.25m are invited for the Three Lochs Holiday Park, with the option to purchase additional property on the estate including lochs, hill farm, residential development and sporting rights.
Adam Lansdown of GVA Hotels and Leisure, says the demand for caravan parks in the first half of 2013 has been encouragingly competitive.
He commented: “There have been some very good prices paid for these types of parks. The critical size, scale and general features of the Three Lochs ensures that it will appeal to local and national companies as well as the independent and private investor and operator.”
