Teenager’s crime spree

A 19-year -old who 
appeared from custody this week at Stranraer Sheriff Court will be sentenced on June 18 after Sheriff Kenneth Robb called for reports.

Liam Scott, 21 King Street, Stranraer, admitted seven separate thefts between January and May.

His spree started on January 29 in Airds Crescent, Castle Kennedy, when he stole an Apple i-phone. Between April 16 and 17 he broke into the old Stena Line terminal at Port Rodie and stole a laptop, smashed a door and painted the words “Liam Kyle” on a wall before breaking into a locked boat and stealing a mobile phone and a hammer. On May 7 he stole a laptop and an electric razor from Garlies Court and on May 13, at Blackparks Industrial Estate, he broke into a locked car and the office of King’s Coaches, stealing money from both.
