Marie Curie Machars Fundraising Group volunteers Jill Lyons and Alison Gibbon hosted their fourth annual Blooming Great Tea Party at the Scent o’ Galloway in Newton Stewart.
Jill and Alison were busy making all the yummy home-baked cakes, and held a raffle with great prizes and, of course, teas and coffees.
The tea party took place on July 17. All proceeds from sales will support the work of Marie Curie Cancer Care.
Jill, owner of the Scent o’ Galloway, said: “It’s always a privilege to hold a tea party to support the excellent work that our local nurses are doing and knowing that the money we raise makes a huge impact locally and that the money is spent locally makes me really happy and glad to support such an excellent cause,
“I would like to thank all my customers and people who attended the event for helping us raise a grand total of £200, which will pay for 10 hours of free nursing care.”
