A STRANRAER learning and development worker has been honoured at this year’s ‘Education Oscars’, the Scottish Qualifications Authority Star Awards.
Linda Greenhill, who supports Dumfries and Galloway Council’s youth worker in and around the town, scooped the award for SQA Champion at the SQA Star Awards, which were held at Anniesland College in Glasgow on Friday 4 November.
The Star Awards celebrate the achievements and commitment of learners, teachers, lecturers, schools, colleges, training providers and businesses across Scotland and around the world.
In tandem to this, she also achieved her assessor’s award, completed a part-time degree and qualified as a SQA verifier.
The ceremony was hosted by broadcaster and journalist Kaye Adams and was supported by a raft of sponsors, including CBI Scotland, Education Scotland, Hodder Gibson, the Scottish Credit and Qualifications Framework Partnership and Youthlink Scotland.
