It was all smiles for Stranraer’s South West Smile Care Centre team as they took the podium in Glasgow to accept the highly prestigious Scottish Dental Practice of the year 2014 Award, at the glitzy award ceremony held at the Glasgow Science Centre on Friday 9 May 2014.
The award ceremony is a part of the Scottish Dental Show, which took place at Braehead Arena in Glasgow on Friday 9 and Saturday 10 May. The Scottish Dental Awards were established to showcase and celebrate the very best of Scottish dentistry.
Shortlisted were a diverse range of practices, teams and individuals from across Scotland.
From the Highlands and the east coast, through the central belt and down to Dumfries and Galloway, the shortlisted nominees spanned the country, giving a true taste of the best the Scottish dental scene has to offer.
As well as traditional categories such as the highly-regarded Lifetime Achievement Award, Practice of the Year and Dentist of the Year, the organisers have introduced new categories including DCP Star, Unsung Hero, Business Treasure and the Community Award. The aim is to reward and recognise the people that make a difference and ensure that Scottish dentistry remains a beacon of innovation and professionalism.
Liz Alexander, Practice manager said: “On behalf of the team at South West Smile Care Centre, we are extremely delighted and proud to have received this award. It is a credit to our combined team effort to provide an exceptional level of patient care and experience - without which we could not have achieved this award. These awards recognise exceptional achievements within the dental profession, rewarding teams and individuals across the country.”
South West Smile Care Centre is the first practice in Dumfries & Galloway to receive this national award.
