Catering services at Kirroughtree Visitor Centre at Stronord continue to be on hold ahead of the busy summer season.
The Forestry Commission, who own the site on the 7Stanes cycling route and are currently redeveloping the visitor centre and surrounding land, gave permission for a catering company to operate from the centre throughout Easter but the agreement came to an end following the holidays and now the popular outdoor centre is without a cafe.
A Forestry Commission spokesman said: “We are continuing to discuss with the catering company if it is possible to continue providing a service. The Commission is also exploring other options for providing catering. In the meantime, visitors can get light refreshments from the Breakpad bike shop. The Commission hopes to get catering services back as soon as possible and would like to apologise for any inconvenience.”
