Stagecoach buses have apologised after failing to provide a bus service for villagers in Mochrum on Monday.
Residents reliant on the bus service were left fuming when buses failed to turn up on time and attempts to get in touch with the Stagecoach offices in both Stranraer and Dumfries to find get information failed when the phones rang out. Appointments were missed and employees had to find alternative arrangement to get to work.
Stagecoach said that only one bus, the 1330, arrived in the village on Monday.
A spokeswoman for Stagecoach said: “We are very sorry that, due to operational issues, we were not able provide our usual level of service in Mochrum on Monday. Our customers quite rightly expect better. We resolved the issues as quickly as possible and ran a full service on Tuesday. However, we would like to apologise again for any inconvenience caused to customers on Monday.”
