A Drummore woman was found guilty at trial this week of stealing over £6000 from Stena in her role as secretary with the company.
Lesley Graham, 37, of Stair Street, Drummore, stood trial originally accused of using the company credit card to make personal purchases amounting to £9989.90 but this was reduced during the trial to £6735.31.
The court heard from various witnesses during the three-day trial, which ended on Wednesday, who explained the credit card was in Graham’s name but was only for office purchases such as stationery and staff flights.
However, bank statements presented in court showed transactions to Amazon, Jenners in Edinburgh, pet stores, supermarkets and for repairs to Graham’s own car.
Sheriff Kenneth Robb called for reports and will sentence Graham on November 13.
