FOLLOWING their success at a recent charity fundraiser, new Stewartry band Scruffy Buzzards are set to once again rock Dundrennan Village Hall on 27 April.

The Buzzards will perform original songs that fuse acoustic, folk and rock genres. Band members Richie Hamilton, Kim Ayres, John Traynor and Bruce McKenzie skilfully blend vocals with guitar, bouzouki and percussion.

As well as the main act, there will be an open mic session, so whether you’re a wannabe rock star, soul diva or just like to rattle the kitchen spoons this is your chance to have a go. For those who can’t listen to music for long without an overwhelming urge to take to the floor, the night will round off with some great dance tracks.

Richie said: “Scruffy Buzzards are delighted to return to Dundrennan Village Hall after the fantastic reception we received on our last visit. We have new songs to let you hear and look forward to helping showcase local talent during the open mic session.”

Tickets for the Dundrennan event are on sale now from Thompsons in Kirkcudbright at £6. Be quick – numbers are limited!
