Riding of the Marches to start from Bladnoch Park

There has been a last minute change to the starting point for tomorrow’s Wigtown Riding of the Marches.

The riders will now be leaving from Bladnoch Park (Wigtown Show venue / rugby park) at 1.45pm.

The riders will then make their way up to Wigtown where the ceremony to hand the burgh flag will take place at 2pm.

The flag will be handed over to Ensign Mhairi McConnell by Mid Galloway Councillor Jim McColm.

The riders will then ride out along the following route:

South Main Street, North Main Street, New Road, Wigtown Hill, Kirkland Terrace, West Kirkland, Moss of Cree Road, Balgreen, Bank Street, North Main Street, Agnew Crescent, Bladnoch, B7005 to Fordbank, Potato Mill Road, Agnew Crescent, North Main Street, High Vennel to school, New Road, North Main Street, Low Vennel, Lochancroft, Church Lane, Bank Street, County Buildings and back to South Main Street.
