The first ballot boxes arrived at the Easterbrook Hall for the Dumfries and Galloway referendum count at 10.16pm this evening.

With a postal vote count already underway at 10pm sharp, Returning Officer Alex Haswell announced a staggering 95 percent turnout in postal voting and hinted at a high-80 percent for ballots.
