MINNIGAFF man Rab Sherry retired from the Forestry Commission last week after 30 years service.
Fifty-nine-year old Rab enjoyed his retirement party in the Cree Inn last Friday night with his former workmates and some friends.
Rab told the Galloway Gazette: “I have thoroughly enjoyed my time with the Forestry. They were a brilliant bunch of boys to work with the Forestry were good employers.
“But I have left one digger job for another one as I have started working for myself. It’s something I have always wanted to do.”
