Three teenagers from near Port William recently make stunning quilts as part of the Alzheimer Scotland Scottish Football Memories Project at Hampden Park recently.

The three girls, Karen Milven, Lucy Vincent and Fay Wallace, who are working towards their Duke of Edinburgh Awards, travelled to Hampden at the beginning of June to see around a thousand quilts spread out across the football pitch to help raise awareness of Alzheimer’s.

Afterwards Karen, Lucy and Fay presented their quilts to the residents of West View Nursing Home in Monreith.
